Champsodon fimbriatus és una espècie de peix marí pertanyent a la família dels campsodòntids i a l'ordre dels perciformes.[6]

Descripció[modifica]

Fa 11,8 cm de llargària màxima.[7][8]

Alimentació[modifica]

El seu nivell tròfic és de 3.[9]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica[modifica]

És un peix marí, bentopelàgic[10] (entre 199 i 262 m de fondària)[7] i de clima tropical, el qual viu al Pacífic[11][7] oriental central: les illes Hawaii[3][7][10][12][13] i, potser també, l'atol Johnston.[14][15][4][8][16]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans[8] i el seu índex de vulnerabilitat és baix (10 de 100).[17]
