Leptobotia pellegrini és una espècie de peix de la família dels cobítids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.[6]

Morfologia[modifica]

Fa 22 cm de llargària màxima.[7][8]

Alimentació[modifica]

És un depredador bentònic que es nodreix d'insectes, crustacis i peixets.[9]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica[modifica]

És un peix d'aigua dolça (pH entre 7 i 8)[10] i salabrosa, demersal i de clima subtropical, el qual viu a Àsia: la Xina (Sichuan,[11] Fujian, Guangdong,[12] Guangxi, Hunan i Zhejiang, incloent-hi les conques dels rius Iang-Tsé i Perla).[3][9][4][7][8][13][14][15][16][17]

Amenaces[modifica]

Les seues principals amenaces són la urbanització i la contaminació d'origen agrícola (és intolerant a l'acumulació de deixalles orgàniques i requereix en tot moment d'aigua neta i oxigenada per poder viure).[16][9]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans[7] i consumit com a aliment a nivell local.[18]
