Valenciennea strigata és una espècie de peix de la família dels gòbids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Reproducció[modifica]

És monògam.[3][4]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja petits invertebrats bentònics, peixos i ous de peixos.[1]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, de clima tropical (22 °C-28 °C)[5] i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 1-25 m de fondària.[6][1]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des de l'Àfrica Oriental[7] fins a les Tuamotu, les Illes Ryukyu, Sydney (Austràlia) i l'Illa de Lord Howe.[1][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36]

És inofensiu per als humans.[1]
