Takifugu rubripes és una espècie de peix de la família dels tetraodòntids i de l'ordre dels tetraodontiformes.[4]



És un peix demersal i de clima temperat.[5]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a Àsia: des de l'oest del Mar del Japó, el Mar de la Xina Oriental i el Mar Groc fins a Muroran (Hokkaido, el Japó).[5][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]
