Format

The meeting will not be recorded or streamed. Notes will be taken in a Google Docs file. Olga Vasileva (the Product Manager) will be hosting this meeting. The presentation part will be given in English.

We can answer questions asked in English and a number of other languages. If you would like to ask questions in advance, add them on the talk page or send them to sgrabarczukwikimedia.org.

At this meeting, both Friendly space policy and the Code of Conduct for Wikimedia technical spaces apply. Zoom is not subject to the WMF Privacy Policy.

La WMF va crear Wikimedia Jitsi per hostatjar reunions virtuals. En comptes d'arreglar-ne els desperfectes i millorar-lo com a eina per defecte de videoconferències viquipedistes, decideix passar-se a Zoom (empresa discutida pel que fa a model i seguretat).

La WMF va crear un Etherpad de Wikimedia per prendre notes de reunions en un entorn lliure i accessible. En comptes de fer-lo servir i de millorar-lo, decideix passar-se a a Google Docs.

Els mals hàbits de GAFAM i la manca de responsabilitat corporativa, cada dia més grossos i més visibles en cadascuna de les seves accions i avisos institucionals.

Absolutament d'acord amb el comentari d'en @Xavier Dengra. Anem molt malament per aquest camí!

Ja fa temps que la Fundació Wikimedia pateix les conseqüències de membres de la Junta que es prenen el seu mandat com un LARP de Silicon Valley. No és d'estranyar, doncs, que acabin gravitant cap a solucions propietàries d'empreses com Google.
