Chrysochir aureus és una espècie de peix de la família dels esciènids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja crustacis petits.[4]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix de clima tropical i bentopelàgic.[4]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des del sud-est de l'Índia i Sri Lanka fins al sud de la Xina.[4][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17]

Ús comercial[modifica]

Es comercialitza fresc i en salaó.[18]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
