Ocosia és un gènere de peixos pertanyent a la família dels tetrarògids i a l'ordre dels escorpeniformes.[1]

Descripció[modifica]

No té pas escates corporals. Cinc radis tous a les aletes ventrals.[2]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'oceà Índic[3] (Saya de Malha[4] -Maurici-[5] i l'Índia)[6] i el Pacífic[7] (el Japó,[8][9][10][11] la mar Groga,[12] el mar de la Xina Oriental,[4] el mar de la Xina Meridional,[13]Taiwan,[14][15][16] les illes Filipines,[7] Nova Caledònia i les illes Chesterfield[17] i Nova Zelanda[18][19] i les illes Kermadec.[20]
