Bidens és un gènere de plantes amb flors dins la família Asteràcia. Conté unes 200 espècies. El seu fruit és un aqueni i el nom científic es refereix a les dues dents que presenten (en llatí bis "dos" + dens "dents".
Són espècies zoocòres; les seves llavors s'enganxen a la roba, o als pèls i plomes i són transporatades aixi a nous hàbitats. Per això han estat capaces de colonitzar un ampli rang de territori incloent moltes de les illes oceàniques. Algunes espècies es presenten en un rang molt restringit i ara estan amenaçades d'extinció com ocorre a Hawaii.
B. laevis (Smooth Beggarticks) és una flor de tardor comunaal sud-est dels Estats Units. B. frondosa es considera una mala herba a Nova Zelanda.
A les illes Hawaii els Bidens s'anomenen kokoʻolau o koʻokoʻolau.[2] Se'n fa una infusió refrescant. En algunes regions, les fulles de B. pilosa i B. tripartita de vegades es mengen com a verdura.
El patogen de les plantes Bidens mottle virus es va anomenar per aquest gènere.
Les espècies de Bidens es troben a molts llocs del món.[3] Està estretament relacionat amb el gènere americà de Coreopsis i ni Bidens ni Coreopsis són monofilètics.[3]
