Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. més conegut com Snoop Dogg, va néixer el 20 d'octubre de 1971 a Long Beach, Califòrnia, i és un raper, productor i actor nord-americà. És el "protegit" del productor Dr. Dre. Quan era nen, la seva mare l'anomenava Snoopy, pel que es va fer dir Snoop Doggy Dogg. Va canviar el seu nom a Snoop Dogg al 1996, després va deixar Death Row Records per signar per No Limit Records. Molts dels seus cosins, com ara RBX, Nate Dogg o Daz Dillinger, també són rapers i col·laboren amb Snoop en moltes ocasions. A l'hora de rapejar, la seva veu dóna la sensació de ser pesada i mandrosa. El seu estil és relaxat, pausat i tranquil.
