La Super Bowl és el nom que rep el partit de campionat (la final) de la National Football League de futbol americà. El guanyador del partit rep el Vince Lombardi Trophy.
La primera edició es disputà el 1967 i s'enfrontaren el campió de la National Football League i la American Football League. Després de la fusió de les dues lligues el 1970, ser campió de la Super Bowl, equival a ser campió de la National Football League. A partir d'aquest any, els 10 equips de la AFL formaren l'American Football Conference (AFC), dins d'una unida NFL i els 13 equips originals formaren la National Football Conference (NFC). La Super Bowl és disputada pels campions de cadascuna de les conferències.
Ja que una temporada de NFL va des de setembre fins a febrer, per a no crear confusions entre els anys, les Super Bowls s'anomenen juntament un nombre romà al costat.
És una de les retransmissions televisives amb més audiència al món.
