Coldplay està format per Guy Berryman (baix), Jonny Buckland (guitarra), Chris Martin (cantant, guitarra, teclats) i Will Champion (bateria).
El seu primer àlbum d'estudi fou publicat l'any 2000 arribant al número 1 de la llista d'àlbums en el seu país d'origen. Els seus darrers treballs han arribat a la posició més alta de les llistes dels països més importants del món i com a conseqüència, diversos discs de platí.
