Rajella fyllae és una espècie de peix de la família dels raids i de l'ordre dels raïformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Reproducció[modifica]

És ovípar[5] i les femelles ponen càpsules d'ous, les quals presenten com unes banyes a la closca.[7]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja animals bentònics, especialment invertebrats com ara copèpodes, amfípodes i Mysidacea.[8]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí i d'aigües profundes (80°N-45°N, 77°W-37°E) que viu entre 170-2.050 m de fondària.[5][9]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a l'oceà Atlàntic: el Canadà, les illes Fèroe, França (incloent-hi Saint-Pierre i Miquelon), Groenlàndia, Islàndia, Irlanda, Noruega (incloent-hi Svalbard) i la Gran Bretanya.[10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29]

És bentònic.[30]

Observacions[modifica]

És inofensiu per als humans.[5]
