Albatrossia pectoralis és una espècie de peix de la família dels macrúrids i de l'ordre dels gadiformes.
Morfologia[modifica]
Reproducció[modifica]
És ovípar i les larves planctòniques.[7]
Alimentació[modifica]
Els individus adults mengen, principalment, cefalòpodes, peixos i gambes, i, secundàriament, ctenòfors, equinoderms, cucs, crancs i amfípodes.[8]
Depredadors[modifica]
És depredat per Anoplopoma fimbria (Illes Kurils)[9][10][11] i Reinhardtius hippoglossoides.[12][13]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix d'aigües profundes que viu entre 140-3500 m de fondària,[14] tot i que, normalment, ho fa entre 700-1100.[15][6]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba des del nord del Japó[16] fins al Mar d'Okhotsk,[17] el Mar de Bering,[18] el Golf d'Alaska[19][20] i el nord de Baixa Califòrnia (Mèxic).[6][21][22]
Longevitat[modifica]
Pot arribar a viure 56 anys.[23]
