Ipy (deessa)
Ipy és una antiga deessa egípcia de la fertilitat.[1] També és coneguda pel nom d'Opet,[2] Ipet a Karnak i Apet, mare del foc, al Papir Màgic Demòtic.[3][4]
S'il·lustra amb forma d'hipopòtam, sovint amb cap i peus de lleó i braços humans.[1][2] També apareix com a protectora del faraó, invocada en el rol de mare.[5] En la teologia tebana és la mare d'Osiris.[4]
És possiblement una precursora de Taweret.[6]
