Rastrineobola argentea és una espècie de peix de la família dels ciprínids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.

Menja zooplàncton[4] i insectes.[5]
Depredadors[modifica]
A Kenya és depredat per Bagrus docmak[6] i a Tanzània per Lates niloticus.[7]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix d'aigua dolça i de clima tropical (22°- 26 °C).[2][8]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
