Myxus elongatus és una espècie de peix de la família dels mugílids i de l'ordre dels mugiliformes.
Morfologia[modifica]
Reproducció[modifica]
És ovípar i els ous pelàgics.[6]
Alimentació[modifica]
Menja crustacis petits, mol·luscs i algues microscòpiques.[7]
Hàbitat[modifica]
És un peix de clima temperat i associat als esculls de corall que viu entre 1-10 m de fondària.[4][8]
Distribució geogràfica[modifica]
Es troba a Austràlia, incloent-hi l'Illa de Lord Howe i l'Illa Norfolk.[4][9][10][11][12][13]
Ús comercial[modifica]
Es comercialitza fresc o en filets.[8]
Observacions[modifica]
És inofensiu per als humans.[4]
