Vespicula és un gènere de peixos pertanyent a la família dels tetrarògids i a l'ordre dels escorpeniformes.[1][2]

Etimologia[modifica]

Vespicula és un diminitiu del mot llatí vespa (vespa).[3]

Hàbitat i distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba a la conca Indo-Pacífica: des de les illes Andaman,[4][5] l'arxipèlag de Mergui[6] (Birmània)[7][8] i Tailàndia[9][10][11] fins a les illes Filipines[7][12][13] (com ara, Luzon),[14] Indonèsia[7][15] (com ara, Cèlebes,[6] Sumatra,[16] Java,[16] Borneo[16] i les illes Petites de la Sonda)[17] i Hainan (la Xina),[7][18][19] incloent-hi Singapur[16] i el mar de la Xina Meridional.[20][21][22][23]
