Alepes vari és una espècie de peix de la família dels caràngids i de l'ordre dels perciformes.

Morfologia[modifica]

Els mascles poden assolir els 56 cm de longitud total.[1]

Alimentació[modifica]

Menja gambes, copèpodes, decàpodes i peixets.[2]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des del mar Roig i el golf Pèrsic fins al Pacífic occidental i des de Corea i les illes Ryukyu fins a Queensland (Austràlia)[3] i Nova Caledònia.[4][2][1][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25]

Ús comercial[modifica]

És d'importància comercial secundària i es comercialitza fresc o en salaó.[2]
