Dussumieria acuta és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels clupeids.[2]

Descripció[modifica]

  • Pot arribar a fer 20 cm de llargària màxima (normalment, en fa 15).
  • 14-18 radis tous a l'aleta anal.[3][4][5]

Hàbitat[modifica]

És un peix marí, pelàgic-nerític i de clima subtropical (31°N-7°S, 49°E-126°E) que viu entre 10 i 20 m de fondària.[3][6]

Distribució geogràfica[modifica]

Es troba des del golf Pèrsic, el Pakistan, l'Índia i Malàisia fins a Indonèsia (Borneo) i les illes Filipines.[3][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44]

És inofensiu per als humans.[3]
