El BAFTA a la millor actriu és un dels premis BAFTA atorgats per la British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) en una cerimònia anual des de 1953, en reconeixement de la millor representació femenina en un paper principal. Entre els anys 1953 i 1968 estava dividit en dues categories diferents: millor actriu britànica i millor actriu estrangera;[1] del 1985 al present, es coneix com a "millor actriu en un paper protagonista".[2]

[modifica]Nota: Entre 1965 i 1974, diverses actrius van ser nominades per a múltiples actuacions en un sol any; cadascuna compta com una nominació.[29] Les dues mencions de Scarlett Johansson el 2004 compten com a dues nominacions separades.[30] Les dues mencions rebudes per Kate Winslet tant el 2005 com el 2009 compten com a dues nominacions separades cada vegada.
